We, all 24 of us, started reading Charlotte's Web. What a great way to end a busy day with a boat load of 7 year olds. Some of them have brought in their own copies to follow along as I read it aloud. I was able to find a class set of them in the library...what luck! Most, if not all, could not read this story alone, and so wonderful it is to see them holding their own copy as I read. My goal is to expose them to as much as I can in the little time we have together (180 days). Some may even always remember the year their teacher read them Charlotte's Web.
