I strayed for a day and sewed a tote bag with a matching purse....... reversible with matching covered straps. I must have done a nice job cuz it's gone. I wanted to post a picture, but didn't get a chance. I was hoping my #2son's GF would like it, and she did!

I bought a sock book this weekend. Socks, Socks,Socks edited by Elaine Rowley. I really went to buy the Vintage Book, then saw the Favorites Book, then saw the above book. It is socktastic!
It has a wide assortment of patterns: simple,kids,lace,color,texture,whimsical...no I'm not getting a cut.
I wanted another way to form the heel, found some on line, but got a bee in my bonnet and convinced myself I needed 1 more knitting book. Unfortunately my children have inherited the disease. I've said so many times, "Just wait a day or two and the obsessiveness will lessen". Obviously I didn't hear myself over the sound of 'just one more book and I'll be done'.
It was worth it.

I love this book. I've often thought about trying to get a knit along going for the socks on the cover. They are so intriguing to me.

The Rowley book rocks. It was one of the first sock books I got and I love the variety. Knitting books are like Jello...there's always room...am I dating myself with that reference? :-)

I don't have a sock book yet. Maybe I'll have to check that out!

I agree - It's a terrific book. Another of my fav's is "More Sensational Knitted Socks" by Charlene Schurch.

Now that I think of it - I have never seen a sock book that I don't like... :)
