I was notified that drinks and food would not be allowed in my classroom....for anyone! No bottled water, coffee, juice, etc. Argh!  No way will that stick!  The reason is for "pest control and illegal substances". 

Some high school kids got caught drinking alcohol and one went to the ER.  So the rest of us are punished.  I would bet that every HS deals with this issue every year. What an obnoxious over reaction.

So here's my plan. No one is going to tell me not to drink a bottle of water, or coffee. Lately, with an upper respiratory issue, if I don't drink, I'll cough and choke until I vomit. I think that would be frowned on too.
