Here's a funny:    I buy gallons of hand sanitizer for my classroom because I don't have a sink. I'm thinking the germs  (sweet children) that are in the petrie dish (my classroom) can sanitize themselves, thus protecting us (really just me) from the FLU and other assorted germs.  WRONG. I'm the only one who's gotten sick! Going on my 2nd week of 'blah I'm sick'.  Doctor says, 'not the flu, here's a Z-pac, drink lots of fluids'.

What is that blue yarn doing in my knitting, you ask? A life line. I highly recommend it. What you are looking at is my first shawl in a jumbled mess. People tell me it will block out nicely. If I ever get it done, I'll find out. The reason for the life line is self preservation. I have tinked and tinked and tinked enough to have made 2 of these. The line lets me rip out fast to a place I know. In this case, line 6 on my chart. I just put the line in, I
feel relief.
BTY it's the Flower Basket Lace Shawl by Evelyn Clark, in Interweave Knits, Fall 2004 and
Here's my progress on the Austin Sweater. Just need the sleeves and sewing up. The collar had 2 parts. The main flat part for 3 inches, then you bind off, go back and pick up double the stitches to make the ruffle. Very nice effect.

OMGosh! Glad you caught it and are doing well on the exchange. I was diagnosed a couple of years ago and find that I have more flexibility in my diet when I exercise (walk) regularly. Good luck!
